Can I run SKY Player by using any Gold account on my Xbox 360 console, or do I have to use the same Gold account that I first signed in with?You can use any Xbox LIVE Gold account to start the SKY Player program. The association of your SKY Player account is tied to your Xbox 360 console and not to your Xbox LIVE profile.
I have downloaded the player. Now, where can I start it from?If you are still on the download screen, click the Play Now option. If you have downloaded the program but have left the download screen, you can use the following methods to load the program:
  • Quick Launch: Click the Guide button on your Xbox Controller, and then select Quick Launch. You should be able to see the SKY Player program in this list. Highlight the SKY Player item, and then press the A button to start SKY Player.
  • Video Marketplace: Locate the Video Marketplace Channel in the Xbox 360 Dashboard. Look for the slot that has the SKY logo, press A, and then select Play Now.
I was watching content on SKY Player, and I was disconnected from Xbox LIVE.Use the Network Troubleshooter in the Dashboard to help establish and fix the problem. If the troubleshooter cannot help you fix the problem, it will direct you to your next steps to get help.
I am watching a movie, but I cannot get into the Party feature.Party mode is available only together with Live TV. The exception is the SKY Movies Screen 1 and 2 channels, which you can watch in the Party area.
My SKY Player program seems to have many problems. I think it might be corrupted.Try to delete the program, all history and clear the cache. To delete the program, history and cache, follow these steps:
  1. Locate the My Xbox Channel in the Dashboard, and then select System Settings.
  2. Select Memory, select the storage device to which you downloaded the program (typically the hard disk), and then click Select.
  3. Make sure that you remove the SKY Player program from both the Games and Demos sections.
  4. Locate the Video Marketplace slot, redownload the program, and then run the program.
  5. Clear the cache by following the instructions in the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

I have received my console after a repair, and my console serial number seems to have changed.You can start SKY Player from a slot in the Video Marketplace Channel in the Dashboard.
Note You may have to redownload the program.
If you continue to have problems when you try to start SKY Player, make sure that the new Xbox 360 console is listed as a device on the SKY Player Web site. To do this, visit the following SKY Web site:

After you sign in, locate the Accounts and Settings page. Remove the current Xbox 360 console from the account, and replace it with the new one. You can do this only one time in any month.

If you receive this error message when you install or run the SKY Player program, try to wait for approximately one minute. Then, install or run the program.

When I watch LIVE TV Channels or on-demand content, I receive the following error message:
Your Internet connection has slowed. You can change video quality by pressing LB/RB while watching live TV.
The program has detected that a lower video quality may improve the streaming of the content. You can change this behavior by using the following methods:
  • Press the LB/RB button on the shoulder of your Xbox Controller when you watch LIVE TV. This is a shortcut to the Video Quality settings. You can now select the level of video quality that you want.
  • Open the mini-EPG (Electronic Program Guide) screen. To do this on your Xbox Controller, press the Y button, press the X button, and then select the level of video quality that you want.
