Repair Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost) - Microsoft Support
All Outlook Data Files (.pst) and Offline Data Files (.ost) are listed along with the name of the account the files are associated with. If you cannot open your Outlook data file or suspect that the file is damaged, use the Inbox Repair tool (scanpst.exe) to repair errors in the file.

Open and find items in an Outlook Data File (.pst)
In order for Outlook to search a Personal Folders file for a specific word or phrase or sender, the file must be open in Outlook. In Outlook on your desktop (Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013), choose File > Open and Export > Open Outlook Data File. Choose the Outlook data file you want to open.

Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file
Steps: Import Outlook items from a .pst file in Outlook for PC. These instructions assume you've already exported your Outlook email, contacts, and calendar from another instance of Outlook, and now you want to import them to Outlook. At the top of your Outlook ribbon, select File.
