Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You install the Work Folders role on a server that is running Windows Server 2012 R2.

You configure Work Folders to use Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) authentication.

The security token service (STS) server's clock is faster than the Work Folders server's clock.
In this scenario, files are not synchronized between client devices and the Work Folders server.
Cause
This issue occurs because the Work Folders server validates the issuance time of a token against its own clock. Therefore, the tokens that are issued by the STS server to client devices are not accepted by the Work Folders server.
Resolution
Update information
