In classic Outlook, open the message you want to save.

Select File > Save As, choose a save destination, and select Save.

In new Outlook​​​​​​​, open the message you want to save.

At the upper right of the message pane, select  More actions >  Save as.

In the Save As dialog, navigate to the folder where you want to save the message file. Give it a file name, then select Save. Messages can be saved in the .eml file format.
