Microsoft Band battery and charging

Microsoft Band uses two lithium-ion batteries designed to go everywhere you go. Learn about Microsoft Band’s power states, and how to charge it and check its battery level.

The amount of time your batteries last varies depending on how you use your Band. The batteries have limited recharge cycles (1,000 complete recharge cycles) and cannot be replaced.

Power on

  • Press and hold the power button until you feel a slight vibration and the Me Tile appears.

Power off (two ways)

To save battery power, your Band display turns off automatically when you aren’t working with the tiles. It goes dark or switches to Watch Mode, depending on your settings. For more info, see Watch Mode.
