Track your calories burned

Your Microsoft Band uses movement sensors, the heart rate monitor, and your profile information––height, weight, age, and gender––to estimate your calories burned. The band estimates your daily calories burned even when you’re not wearing it. The estimate gets more refined the more you wear and use the band.

View your calories burned

There are a few ways to see your calories burned stats: on your band, in the Microsoft Band app on your phone, and on your Microsoft Health web dashboard.

You can see tallies of the calories you burned from all activities. Or, see the calories you’ve burned during a workout or while sleeping by checking the stats for the tiles you used to track your activities—Exercise Tile, Run Tile, Bike Tile, Guided Workout Tile, or Sleep Tile.

On your band

Step 1: On your Microsoft Band, press the power button.
Step 2: Press the action button to display your calories burned and the date.

Tap the Me Tile, and drag the tile to the left to see Calories burned

On your phone

Step 1: On your phone, tap the Microsoft Band app.
Step 2: On the Home screen, tap Calories burned

Step 3: Tap the day tab or the week tab to view daily or weekly stats.
Step 4: Tap the directional icons to the left and right of the date to view any previous weeks’ graphs and data.

Online in your Microsoft Health web dashboard

In addition to showing you the info you can see in the phone app, your Microsoft Health web dashboard provides advanced fitness tracking and actionable insights to help you achieve your wellness goals.


Set a calorie goal


Step 1: On your phone, tap the Microsoft Band app.
Step 2: On the Home screen, tap Calories burned

Step 3: On the day tab next to Calorie Goal, tap Edit

Step 4: On the Edit Goal circle, slide the white touch-point around the circle. Your calorie goal setting will display.
Step 5: Tap Save
