Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You are running a Hindi or a Kazakh version of Microsoft Lync 2010.

You configure UTF-8 encoding as the preferred encoding for outgoing messages.

You click the Options drop-down menu in Lync 2010, and then you select Meet Now.

You click the Invite drop-down list, and then you select Invite By E-mail.
In this scenario, the text for Join online meeting and Join by Phone are displayed incorrectly in the invitation email message.

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:

To configure Outlook to use UTF-8 as the preferred encoding for outgoing messages, follow these steps.
Outlook 2007

Click Tools, click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.

Click International Options, click to select the check box for Automatically select encoding for outgoing messages, and then select Unicode (UTF-8) from the Preferred encoding for outgoing messages drop-down menu.
Outlook 2010
-
Click File, click Options, and then click the Advanced tab.

Under the International Options section, click to select the check box for Automatically select encoding for outgoing messages, and then select Unicode (UTF-8) from the Preferred encoding for outgoing messages drop-down menu.
