Symptoms
After you compile workflows that use the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or the .NET Framework 4.0, some temporary files are not removed in the following folder:
%SystemDrive%\WINDOWS\TEMP
Note The name for each temporary file resembles the following:
Xoml.<GUID>.pdbFor example, this issue may occur when you run a Microsoft SharePoint site that uses workflows.
Cause
This issue occurs because of an error in the System.Workflow.ComponentModel namespace.
Resolution
If you encounter this issue when the workflows use the .NET Framework 4.0, install the hotfix rollup that is described in KB2510798. For more information about KB2510798, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Prerequisites
To apply this hotfix, you must have the .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed on a computer that is running one of the following operating systems:

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Restart requirement
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix if the affected files are not being used.
Hotfix replacement information
This hotfix package does not replace a previously released hotfix package.
File Information
The global version of this hotfix package uses a Microsoft Windows Installer package to install the hotfix package. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
