Dock the standalone app next to EHR
The Dragon Copilot standalone app can be docked alongside your EHR, enabling you to ask questions or generate notes while charting.

Log in to the Dragon Copilot standalone desktop or web app.

Select Dock Dragon Copilot.

The app appears in a narrow view alongside your EHR, allowing you to ask questions or generate notes without disrupting your workflow.

Tip: Resize your window when using the web application.
Targeted AI actions
Overview: Targeted AI Actions in the Dragon Copilot app are one-click tools that help you quickly create documentation and summaries from session transcripts. These actions include:

Create narrative note

You’ll find these options as dedicated buttons in the session view, just above the prompt box, for easy access. With a single click, you can generate high-quality narrative documentation or concise overviews of patient encounters—saving time and ensuring important details are captured consistently.

When the standalone app is opened in a regular window, all four buttons appear above the prompt box.

When the app is docked next to the EHR, it displays in a narrow view with only two buttons visible. To access all four AI action buttons, select the ellipsis menu (…).
Create narrative note
The Create narrative note action produces a structured, paragraph-style summary of the session transcript, capturing essential points of the encounter. It is designed for easy copy-paste into the patient’s health record as official documentation.
Summarize interaction
The Summarize interaction action provides an AI-powered summary of the patient encounter, highlighting key clinical insights, patient concerns, and follow-up items. Use this summary to quickly recall visit details or share during shift handoffs.
Create provider notification
The Create provider notification action delivers a structured note to document provider interactions in the EHR—ideal for recording significant patient status updates discussed with another provider.
Important: The provider notification feature only works when the transcript explicitly includes a statement from the nurse such as ‘notified the provider’ or ‘provider notified about X, Y, Z.'
Create incident note
The Create incident note action prepares a structured narrative to document incidents (e.g., patient fall or safety event) in compliance with institutional reporting guidelines, ensuring all required details are included.
Edit nurse notes
The Edit icon on the AI generated note enables you to edit the generated information before copying it into the EHR. Select the Edit icon to open the “Note” tab, where a text field with the draft note is populated. Here, you can add or delete information and copy the text to the EHR. After editing, a new card with a link to the Note tab is populated on the Timeline to keep track of edited notes. The original AI output will always remain the same.
