Note: This is generally available to all regions except countries in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The full release for those countries will be at a later date. Schools in the EMEA region can still use School Connection in Private Preview access by submitting this interest form.
Onboarding for parents and guardians
To set up School Connection through Microsoft Teams (mobile), here is the recommended onboarding process:

As a parent or guardian, tap on aka.ms/gotoSchoolConnection on your mobile device.

Sign in to Microsoft Teams mobile app with the phone number or personal email address that you've registered with your child's school. Note that a work email can't be used.

Enter your child's school-issued email address in Add a child. You can now view your child's profile in School Connection. School Connection will also be pinned in Microsoft Teams.
Note: To validate access to your child's profile, Microsoft may need to verify your Microsoft account login information.
Alternate setup for School Connection
You can also download the Teams mobile app on your iOS or Android device to set up School Connection.
Sign in to the Microsoft Teams app using the phone number or personal email address that you've shared with the school. For the School Connection app, a work-based email account (on file with the school) can't be used. If needed, you can easily create a personal Microsoft account for free with your phone number or personal email on the Microsoft Teams mobile app or here.
Once the initial setup is done, you can proceed with the following steps to manually enable School Connection (this process isn't needed if you use the recommended School Connection link for automatic setup).
When signed in to the Teams app, tap your profile icon (or initials) in the top-left corner.
Select Settings via the left panel on your Teams profile screen.
On your Teams Settings screen, tap School Connection.
On the School Connection screen, tap Enable.
When you open Teams, you will now find School Connection pinned for easy access.
Enter your child’s school email address to start seeing their details inside the School Connection app. You can also add multiple children.
That’s it. Now you’re ready use the features available in the School Connection app.
