Knowledge Agent: An overview
Knowledge Agent is an AI-powered assistant built into SharePoint, designed to help you manage, organize, and get more value from your content. It makes your files, pages, and sites Copilot-ready—so you can work smarter, not harder.

Prerequisites
Knowledge Agent is available in Public Preview starting September 18 for Microsoft 365 Copilot users with opted in tenants or sites.
To try Knowledge Agent, your organization’s IT admin needs to take action to opt into Knowledge Agent Public Preview (at your tenant or site level) and you need to have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Usage is included with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Please work with your IT admin and refer to our admin guide to setup and rollout details.
Getting Started
The Floating Button in SharePoint provides quick access to Knowledge Agent AI features.
Located in the bottom right corner - the floating button offers real-time, context-sensitive recommendations.
It adapts its skills based on:

Note: You won't see knowledge Agent skills or the floating button on SharePoint Lists, the SharePoint Home Page, Viva Connections, or SharePoint sites within Teams, as they're not supported now.
