Extended Security Updates (ESU) Licensing Preparation Package for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

This update provides the complete set of licensing changes to enable installation of the ESU MAK add-on key, which is one of the steps to prepare for installation of Extended Security Updates. For the full set of steps, please see KB4522133

If you have previously successfully installed and activated your ESU key on your Windows 7 SP1 device, you do not need to re-install or reactivate it after taking this update.   

If you have previously successfully installed and activated your ESU key on your Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 device, you may need to reactivate it. Please see the Important notes above for more details. 

A restart is required after applying this update before you can install any other updates.
