Note: Channel Agent for Teams channels is currently in public preview, and features are likely to change. To learn more about Microsoft's public preview program, see Get early access to new features in Microsoft Teams.

Channel Agent can streamline your communications between Teams to Outlook by helping draft and send emails for you. Instead of having to switch between Teams and Outlook, stay and Teams and let Channel Agent do the work for you.

Create and send an email using Channel Agent

  1. In Teams, navigate to your Channel Agent's channel.

  2. In the channel's compose box, @mention the agent and ask it to create an email. Be as specific as possible and include details like who the recipient is, what the email should be about, and writing tone.

    1.  Prompt: @ProductLaunchAgent, draft an email for Mark Smith with a summary of today's project sync.

  3. The agent drafts an email, pulling information from the channel meeting and your organization's contact data.

  4. Read the drafted email and check that the recipients are correct. Select the Allow button.

    1. The agent sends the email to the listed recipients, including you.
