Pin a window on top in Microsoft Teams

Sometimes you want to keep a Teams window visible while you work. The pin window on top feature in Teams makes this easy. When you pin a window, it stays above your other apps so you can keep important information in view.

Pin on top helps you:

Keep a chat visible while you take notes in another app.
Keep quick tools nearby, like call controls or shared documents.
Reduce window switching so you can focus on your work.

Pin a window on top

Select More options in the top right corner of the window you want to pin.
Choose Pin window on top .

The window will shrink slightly and stay in front of other apps, even when you click away.

Unpin a window

Select More options in the top right corner of the window you want to unpin.
Select Unpin to return the window to normal behavior.

The window will move back behind other apps when you switch tasks.

Resize or move a pinned window

Resize: Drag any corner of the window to make it larger or smaller.

Move: Select the top bar and drag it anywhere on your screen.
