Calculate views for your conversations

Viewer counts allow a user to see how many people have seen their conversations. They appear on the upper right corner of the original post.

What seen counts mean

Seen counts represent the number of unique users who have seen the conversation via their network. They only show if there is at least one person who has seen the conversation. People are counted as viewers after the first message appears on their screen, and they scroll to the bottom of the post. People who start conversations are excluded from seen counts.

View seen counts in Viva Engage

  1. In Microsoft Teams, open Viva Engage and navigate to a conversation that you started. This can be a conversation in your Storyline or a community that you are a part of.

  2. If the conversation was seen by at least one person, a count appears at the upper right corner of the message.

Who can view seen counts in Viva Engage?

Anyone reading your conversation can see view totals. These counts are shown on conversations in public and private communities. They do not show in private messages.
