Solid lines instead of dotted lines are printed in Windows

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You add a PostScript printer to a computer that is running Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1), or Windows Server 2008 SP1.
  • You print a page that includes dotted lines.

In this scenario, solid lines instead of dotted lines are printed on the second and remaining pages.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, we have released an update rollup for Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, and we have released a hotfix for Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2.

Get the update rollup for Windows 8.1 or Windows 8

To resolve this issue, install the update rollup that is dated November 2014 or December 2014.

Get the hotfix for Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Server 2008 R2

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft Support. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. To apply this update, you must have update 2919355 installed in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2. Or, you must have Service Pack 1 installed in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.
