If your purchase of Office or Microsoft 365 came with a product key, you enter your product key on one of the websites listed below for your product. After you enter your key, you can download and install Office, or you can renew your Microsoft 365 subscription. Tip: Get tech expertise with Business Assist.

If you already redeemed a product key, you're simply reinstalling the apps, or you know you have an assigned license through work or school, you can skip ahead and go to the section sign in to download and install Microsoft 365 or Office.

Install Microsoft 365 2019 or 2016 on a PC. Remember a one-time purchase version of Microsoft 365 is licensed for one install only. Depending on your browser, select Open file (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).

After your organization signs up for Microsoft 365, the admin can assign different Microsoft 365 licenses to each user account. The different licenses include different services, such as SharePoint in Microsoft 365 and Skype for Business Online. See the different Office 365 for business plans.

The VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP functions, together with INDEX and MATCH,  are some of the most useful functions in Excel. Note: The Lookup Wizard feature is no longer available in Excel. Here's an example of how to use VLOOKUP. =VLOOKUP (B2,C2:E7,3,TRUE) In this example, B2 is the first argument —an element of data that the function needs to work.

Find your Office product key. Many tasks for Office products don't require a product key because your Microsoft account takes care of them instead.

There are several ways to multiply numbers. Multiply numbers in a cell. To do this task, use the * (asterisk) arithmetic operator. For example, if you type =5*10 in a cell, the cell displays the result, 50. Multiply a column of numbers by a constant number.

SharePoint is a browser-based app that you connect to through your web browser, like so: Go to office.com, and sign in to your work or school account. In the upper left corner of the window, select the app launcher > All apps > SharePoint.
