If you intend to change your email password, you must do that with your email provider (e.g., Microsoft 365, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Xfinity, or a corp. Exchange server). Then you will need to update the password in Outlook.

Sign in to Outlook on the web with your work or school account. Go to outlook.office.com. If you're not automatically signed in with your work or school account, follow the prompts to enter the email address and password for your work or school account.

To use Microsoft 365 on your new device, you can activate Microsoft 365 as a 1-month trial of Microsoft 365 Family. You can also buy Microsoft 365 or a non-subscription version of Office, add Microsoft 365 to an existing Microsoft 365 subscription, or enter a product key from a new product key card.

Sign in using Microsoft Authenticator. Microsoft Authenticator helps you sign in to your accounts if you've forgotten your password, use two-step verification or multi-factor authentication, or have gone passwordless on your account.

Microsoft Authenticator is a mobile app that helps you sign in to all your accounts without using a password. Microsoft Authenticator is not available for PC or Mac as authenticator apps are typically designed for smartphones for security reasons. Learn more.

Simple, fast, secure. If my account doesn’t have a password, how will I sign in? Once you remove your password from your account, you will need to sign in using a passwordless method like the Microsoft Authenticator app, Outlook for Android, Windows Hello, physical security keys, or SMS codes.

Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription or Office product. You can manage all of your Microsoft subscriptions in your Microsoft account dashboard. Select each subscription to change when and how you pay, or to see order history & receipts. Choose your account type.

You can set up an authenticator app to send a notification to your mobile device or to send you a verification code as your security verification method. You aren't required to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, and you can select a different app during the set up process.
