If you can't sign in to your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN email account, or you're not sure how to sign in or sign out, here are some solutions.

Change your password in Outlook.com. Your Outlook.com password is the same as your Microsoft account password. Go to Microsoft account security and select Password security. As a security measure, you might be prompted to verify your identity with a security code.

If you're trying to add your Outlook.com account to Outlook or another mail app, you might need the POP, IMAP, or SMTP settings. You can find them below or by viewing them in your Outlook.com settings.

Safe Senders in Outlook.com. To ensure messages from known addresses or domains don't get moved to your Junk Email folder, add them to your safe senders list: Open your Safe Senders settings. Under Safe senders and domains, enter the email address or domain you want to add, and select Add.

To change the size of your font when reading email, use your browser's zoom function or use the Immersive Reader. You can also customize your email and change the size of your font when composing messages in Outlook.com.

In Outlook.com, select Settings . Select Mail > Forwarding. Note: If two-step verification is enabled, you will be prompted again to verify your identity. Do one of the following: To turn on forwarding, select Enable forwarding, enter the forwarding email address, and select Save.
