Change screen brightness in Windows. Select the Network icon on the right side of the taskbar, and then move the Brightness slider to adjust the brightness. (If the slider isn't there, see the Notes section below.)

Cast to a display from a Windows PC. You can wirelessly connect your PC to a TV, projector, or other kind of external display that supports Miracast. Turn on your TV, projector, or other display. If you're using a Miracast dongle or adapter, make sure it's plugged in to the display.

Most of the advanced display settings from previous versions of Windows are now available on the Display settings page. Select Start > Settings > System > Display. If you want to change the size of your text and apps, choose an option from the drop-down menu next to Scale.

Set up dual monitors on Windows. To get your PC to recognize multiple monitors: Make sure your cables are connected properly to the new monitors, then press Windows logo key + P to select a display option. If you need more help, here's what to do:

Windows 10. Optimizing your drives can help your PC run smoother and boot up faster. To optimize them: Select the search bar on the taskbar and enter defrag. Select Defragment and Optimize Drives. Select the disk drive you want to optimize.

Here's how to change the size of text, images, and apps in Windows. To change your display in Windows, select Start > Settings > Accessibility > Text size. To make only the text on your screen larger, adjust the slider next to Text size.

Screen flickering in Windows 11 is usually caused by a display driver issue or incompatible app. To determine whether a display driver or app is causing the problem, check to see if Task Manager flickers.

Change the screen resolution. Stay in, or open, Display settings. Open your Display settings. In the Display resolution row, select the list and choose an option. It's usually best to stick with the one that's marked (Recommended).
