If you can't sign in to your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN email account, or you're not sure how to sign in or sign out, here are some solutions.

If you're trying to add your Outlook.com account to Outlook or another mail app, you might need the POP, IMAP, or SMTP settings. You can find them below or by viewing them in your Outlook.com settings.

Most email apps like Outlook are able to automatically configure email server settings. If you need server settings or help finding your server settings, click on one of the links below: Server settings for Hotmail, Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 for business email accounts. Use an add-in while composing a message. Create a new message or reply to an existing one. From the ribbon, select the Message tab, then choose the add-in you want to use. If the add-in doesn’t appear in the ribbon, select Apps to view your installed add-ins.

How to request a read receipt and/or delivery receipt in new Outlook. In a message you're composing, go to the Options tab on the ribbon. In Tracking on the ribbon, select the Request a Delivery Receipt box and/or the Request a Read Receipt box.
