This article explains how to temporarily allow cookies, manage tracking preferences, and remove stored site data in Microsoft Edge. To help protect your privacy, Microsoft Edge lets you customize your level of tracking prevention with three different options if tracking prevention is enabled.

To clear your browsing data in Microsoft Edge: Select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services . Select Clear browsing data, then select Choose what to clear next to Clear browsing data now. Under Time range, choose a time range from the drop-down menu.

Some websites also use cookies to collect info about your online activity to show you interest-based advertising. Microsoft Edge gives you options to clear cookies and block websites from saving cookies in the future.

In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services. Select Tracking prevention and make sure it is turned On. Select the level of tracking prevention that’s right for you.

You have the ability to enable or disable cookies, or have Internet Explorer prompt you before accepting cookies. Note that disabling cookies may prevent some Web services from working correctly, and disabling cookies does not make you anonymous or prevent Web sites from tracking your browsing habits.

Choose how much information you want to share with Microsoft by changing your privacy settings. To do this, select Start , then open Settings , and select Privacy & security .
