Learn how to manage your Microsoft subscription, including billing, renewal, and cancellation options.

Be sure to redeem your rewards points in the same region you signed up in. Do not use a VPN while trying to redeem points. When redeeming points, use a mobile or landline phone number for authentication and not a VoIP phone number.

Some Office 2019, Office 2016, and Office 2013 products come with a product key. If yours did, before installing Microsoft 365 for the first time, sign in with an existing or new Microsoft account and enter your product key at office.com/setup. Redeeming your key is what links your account with Microsoft 365 so you only have to do this once.

Check your account balance on your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console. Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account. Select Payment & billing. Your account balance appears to the right in the Microsoft account box.

Pay a past-due balance to unlock your subscription. If you have a subscription that renews automatically, it can become locked if the renewal charge fails. When this happens, you lose access to the subscription and its benefits.

Learn more about our Xbox subscription refund policy. You can receive a refund within 30 days of your initial purchase or before your first recurring billing date (whichever is sooner) by canceling your subscription in the steps that are outlined in the section “Canceling a subscription.”.

Sign in to account.microsoft.com. Select Payment & billing > Order history. Order history. You can use the filters to specific billing periods or to review In progress, Returned/Refunded, Digital, or Physical orders that were bought with this Microsoft account.

If you get an email about unusual activity on your Microsoft account, or if you’re worried that someone else might have used your account, go to the Recent activity page. You’ll see when your Microsoft account was signed in during the last 30 days, along with any device or app-specific info.
