Keyboard shortcuts in SharePoint On-Premises

Many users find navigating SharePoint On-Premises easier and faster with keyboard shortcuts. These shortcuts can be more convenient than a touchscreen and are an essential alternative to using a mouse.

  • A plus sign (+) in a shortcut means that you need to press multiple keys at the same time.
  • A comma sign (,) in a shortcut means that you need to press multiple keys in order.
  • To quickly find a shortcut in this article, you can use the Search. Press Ctrl+F, and then type your search words.
  • The keyboard shortcuts for SharePoint in Microsoft 365 are different from those for the On-premises version. Go to Keyboard shortcuts in SharePoint online to learn the shortcuts for SharePoint online.
