When you select a shape on a slide, the Shape Format tab appears on the ribbon. It's a contextual ribbon tab—it's only visible on the ribbon while a shape is selected*:
* If Shape Format isn't visible, the window may be too narrow to show all tabs. Select the chevron character > button at the right end of the ribbon until you see Shape Format.Â
Use the options on Shape Format to customize the shape—apply a predefined style (with fill color, outline, and effects); format any text in the shape; align, size, and rotate the shape; and more.
