I can help you change your Wi-Fi router's password, but first you'll need to open the router's configuration webpage. Follow these steps:

  1. Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Network and Sharing Center

  2. Under the View your active networks tab, look for the network you’re connected to. Select the blue link next to Connections.

    • Note: If you're not connected to the Wi-Fi, you'll need to get connected before you can change the password.

  3. Select Details... in the pop-up window.

  4. Search for your IPv4 Default Gateway and take note of this string of numbers including periods.

    • For example: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1, or 10.0.1.1

  5. Open a browser, enter this string of numbers including the periods into the address bar, and press Enter to go to the router's configuration page.

  6. When the router’s configuration page opens, enter your username and password.

    • If you have never changed the default username and password for the router, you'll likely be able to find this info in your router's manual.

    • Contact the manufacturer of your router if you need additional support logging into this webpage.

  7. Once you’re logged in, find Wireless settings. You should now be able to change your Wi-Fi password.
