I can help you change your Wi-Fi router's password, but first you'll need to open the router's configuration webpage. Follow these steps:
-
Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Network and Sharing Center
-
Under the View your active networks tab, look for the network you’re connected to. Select the blue link next to Connections.
-
Note: If you're not connected to the Wi-Fi, you'll need to get connected before you can change the password.
-
-
Select Details... in the pop-up window.
-
Search for your IPv4 Default Gateway and take note of this string of numbers including periods.
-
For example: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 10.0.0.1, or 10.0.1.1
-
-
Open a browser, enter this string of numbers including the periods into the address bar, and press Enter to go to the router's configuration page.
-
When the router’s configuration page opens, enter your username and password.
-
If you have never changed the default username and password for the router, you'll likely be able to find this info in your router's manual.
-
Contact the manufacturer of your router if you need additional support logging into this webpage.
-
-
Once you’re logged in, find Wireless settings. You should now be able to change your Wi-Fi password.
