What are Themed Groups in GroupMe and how do I use them?

Make an existing group a Themed Group:

1. In the Chats tab, select the group you want to change.
2. Select the group’s avatar (profile picture).
3. Select Settings  .
4. Select Customize group, then tap Choose theme.
5. Choose your theme category, then choose the banner image you want to use.
6. Select Save.

Your group will now display your new theme banner and colors.

Create a new themed group:

1. In the Chats tab, select New chat  .
2. Select Start Group  , then enter the new group name and group avatar (profile picture).
3. Select Next  .
4. To add members, type their name, phone number, or email, or scroll through your current GroupMe contacts.
5. Select Done to create your group.
6. Choose a theme by tapping Customize Group, then tap Choose theme.
7. Choose your theme category, then choose the banner image you want to use.
8. Select Save.

Your new group will now display your theme banner and colors.

   On iPad, simply select Settings   at the top of your group.

3. Select Settings  .

4. Select Customize group, then tap Choose theme again.
