Symptoms


Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Aero theme enabled.
  • You install the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) 1.1 driver on the computer.
  • You have an application that calls the LineTo function together with the BS-PATTERN style to display an image.
In this scenario, when you run this application, the LineTo function does not draw a line. Additionally, the application may crash if you resize the application window repeatedly.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
