"4144000.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" error message on the Transaction Order Creation (41.440.00) screen in Microsoft Dynamics SL


Consider the following scenario in Inventory Replenishment in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
  • You set the Region and Language settings on your computer to Spanish (Mexico) with the dd/mm/yyyydate format.
  • You run the Usage Capture Process (41.460.00) process, the Calculate Replenishment Values (41.450.00) process, and the the Generate Planned Orders (41.400.00) process.
  • You open the order that was generated on the Transaction Order Creation (41.440.00) screen, and then you click the Create Transaction button.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
4144000.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close


This problem occurs because the Region and Language settings on your computer are set to Spanish (Mexico) with the dd/mm/yyyy date format.

To work around this problem, change the Region and Language settings on your computer to English (US) with the mm/dd/yyyy date format.
