Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You install the module for ISAPI filters on a computer that is running Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5.
-
You add an ISAPI filter to a website that is hosted on the computer.
-
The SF_NOTIFY_SEND_RAW_DATA notification is registered in the ISAPI filter.
For example, the ISAPI filter contains the following code:DWORD WINAPI HttpFilterProc( PHTTP_FILTER_CONTEXT pfc,DWORD dwNotificationType, LPVOID pvNotification) {

The website has a file that is larger than 256 megabytes (MB).

You try to download this file from the website.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

Entity Body: all <number>MB file being pushed back to client even 500 status had been sent.
Cause
This issue occurs because of an error in the IIS Filter.dll file.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

To apply this hotfix, you must have the module for ISAPI filters of IIS 7.5 installed on a computer that is running one of the following operating systems:

Restart requirement
You must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
