Summary

This article describes the Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated June 28, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • It takes longer than expected to enable the workflow features on a site collection in a Microsoft SharePoint Online environment.

  • Assume that the document set feature is enabled on a site collection in SharePoint Server 2010. When you try to send a document set that is larger than 50 megabytes (MB) to a Records Center site, you receive the following error message:

The <Records Center Display Name> site refused the submission. You cannot send files larger than 50 MB. To submit this file, you must upload it directly to the drop off library at the target.

  • Consider the following scenario. You enable the Document ID service on a site collection in SharePoint Server 2010. Then, you create a document library by using a document library template. In this scenario, the document ID feature does not function correctly in the newly created document library.

  • Assume that your display name contains a comma in SharePoint Server 2010. After you start a workflow, your display name is not displayed as expected in the Request By field on the task form.

  • Consider the following scenario. You add location-based metadata defaults to a site pages library in SharePoint Server 2010. However, when you create a new site page, the location-based metadata defaults do not function correctly on the newly created site page.

  • 2552995 You are forced to select a content type for a file when you save the file to a document library in SharePoint Server 2010
