Summary

This article describes the Microsoft Word 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated June 28, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Bookmarks that are in nested content controls are removed in a document when you save the document in a .doc file format in Word 2010.

  • Assume that you configure the vpref registry setting to apply certain settings in Word 2010. When you start Word 2010 or Outlook 2010, the settings are only applied to the application that started first.

Note The vpref registry setting for Word 2010 is stored in the following location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Options

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create a Word 2010 document.

    • You insert two footnotes.

    • You mark various ranges of citations in these footnotes.

In this scenario, the TA fields that are created to mark the citations in the footnotes do not behave as expected. For example, the long form citation is replaced by the short form citation. Or, the short form citation is replaced by the long form citation in the footnote.
