This article describes the Excel Services in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 issue that is fixed in the Excel Services in SharePoint Server 2010 hotfix package.  This hotfix package is dated June 28, 2011.

INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You use the Excel Services web service API to generate reports in a specific data culture.

    • An Excel workbook uses Office Data Connections (ODC) files to connect to SQL Server Analysis Services.

    In this scenario, the web service calls do not return the data in the correct language.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

To install this hotfix, you must have Excel Services in SharePoint Server 2010 installed.
