FIX: A .NET Framework 3.5-based WPF application is not displayed correctly when you use RDP to connect to a Windows 7 computer

Applies to: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that has the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed.
  • You use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to remotely access the computer.
  • You try to run a .NET Framework 3.5-based Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application on the remote computer.
In this scenario, the WPF application is not displayed correctly. For example, the WPF application only has a border, and the body of the application is not displayed.

Notes
  • This issue typically occurs if a computer has two NVidia graphics cards and drivers for the two graphics cards installed.
  • This issue only occurs if you use RDP to remotely access a computer that is running Windows 7.
