Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You use Microsoft Visual Studio Team System Web Access 2010 to connect to a Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 (TFS 2010) server.

You create a team project by using one of the following template processes:

MSF for CMMI Process Improvement
-
MSF for Agile Software Development
-
-
You create or edit a work item. For example, you create or edit a Bug or User Story work item.

You copy some data that contains malformed HTML code, and then paste the data into the History section of the Details tab.

You save the work item, and then you view the work item.
In this scenario, all tabs except for the Details tab in Team System Web Access 2010 are blank, and the History field in the Details tab does not appear correctly.
Cause
This issue occurs because the malformed HTML code cannot be displayed correctly in the History field in the Details tab. Additionally, the malformed HTML code causes the other tabs to not be displayed.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Prerequisites
To apply this hotfix, you must have Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) installed.
Restart requirement
You must restart the computer after you apply this hotfix if the affected files are being used. We recommend that you close all Microsoft Visual Studio 2010-related components before you install the hotfix.

Workaround
To work around this issue, use Microsoft Visual Studio Team Explorer to view the work item.
