February 10, 2015 update for SharePoint Server 2010 (KB2687415)

Applies to: SharePoint Server 2010

This article describes update KB2687415 for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 that was released on February 10, 2015. This update has a prerequisite.

Improvements and Fixes

  • Administrators can now use Central Administration to add a button on their SharePoint Server 2010 sites to send users to their OneDrive for Business folder in Office 365.

Note After you install this hotfix package, learn how to set up this feature.
  • Improves tokenization for documents that have substring-tokenized fields.

Note See more information about tokenization and substring-tokenization.
  • After you install this hotfix package, when you search for a phrase in a set of documents, only the document that has the phrase is returned.
  • Fixes the following issues:
    • When you perform an incremental crawl for an Exchange public folder in SharePoint Server 2010 after a full crawl, all items are deleted from the index unexpectedly.
    • When you use a Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) Connector to delete documents through an incremental connector run that uses the %TIMESTAMPSEC% or %TIMESTAMP% JDBCSQL input parameter, crawling fails.

Note A JDBC connector is an API for Java. It helps plug in any driver by using JDBC technology.
    • Duplicate best bets are returned when the following conditions are true:
      • Resubmission of spellcheck queries is enabled.
      • No result is displayed.
      • Best bets are available for the query.
    • Poor relevance and recall in the search engine because of a missing contribution for links analysis in multi-node environments.
