Consider the following scenario:
- You have a computer that is running Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, or Windows Server 2012.
- You have some optical media, such as a compact disc-recordable (CD-R) disc or a Blu-ray disc-recordable (BD-R) disc.
- You format the optical media in the Live File System format.
- Then you burn data to the optical media.
Stop 0x00000034 (Parameter1, Parameter2, Parameter3, Parameter4)
- The parameters in this Stop error message vary, depending on the configuration of the computer.
- Not all "Stop 0x00000034" errors are caused by this issue.
This issue occurs because the Udfs.sys driver does not handle certain edge cases correctly.
