This article contains answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about file attachments in Yammer.
Text in posts is limited to 10,000 characters.
To attach a file, click the File link under the publisher.
You can upload a maximum of 25 files to a post.
The maximum size for a single file attachment is 100 megabytes (MB) for free networks and 5 gigabytes (GB) for premium networks.
The maximum dimensions for images that are uploaded to Yammer are 7,680 pixels wide and 4,320 pixels high. The maximum image size is 10 megabytes (MB).
You can attach various kinds of files, such as .pdf files, image files, video files, Microsoft Office files, and more. How the attachment is displayed in the feed depends on the file type.
Any non-image file attachment is visible as a link under your message. Users can click the link to download the file.
Any image attachment is visible as a thumbnail under your message. To view the image, users can click the thumbnail. When users view the expanded image, they can click the Download link to download a copy of the image.
Any video attachment is visible as a thumbnail under your message. Users can click the thumbnail to watch the video inline. The following video types are supported:
