Symptoms


Assume that you develop a backup application that uses a third-party ODBC driver. In this scenario, the application crashes frequently when a backup is performed in Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.

This problem is known to occur with the following ODBC drivers:
  • Mysql ODBC connector 3.51.30 driver
  • Symfoware ODBC connector driver
