Warning: The retired, out-of-support Internet Explorer 11 desktop application has been permanently disabled through a Microsoft Edge update on certain versions of Windows 10. For more information, see Internet Explorer 11 desktop app retirement FAQ.

Symptoms

Assume that you have Internet Explorer 11 installed on a computer. You open several links from a webpage in new tabs. In this situation, the webpage on the new tab is displayed as blank. However, the thumbnail on the shortcut bar displays the content of the new webpage correctly.

Notes

  • The expected behavior is that the webpage is displayed correctly in the new tab.

  • This issue does not occur if you open a link in a new window.

Cause

This issue occurs because the new tab is opened and navigated at almost the same time.
