Security updates cannot be installed if BitLocker is not installed on your computer

Cause

This issue occurs because the Secure Boot Advanced Installer (Securebootai.dll) behaves incorrectly when the BitLocker component is not installed on the system. For example, in Windows Server 2012, installation of the component is optional. When the BitLocker component is not present, the installation of security updates that require the Securebootai.dll file fails.
