How to control the way Controller Dimension shapes display data in Visio

The Controller Dimension shape in the "Walls, Shell and Structure (US units).vss" stencil. and the Architectural Dimensioning shapes from the "Dimensioning - Architectural (US units).vss" stencil initially display the measurement units that are set for the drawing page. However, you can set a unit of measure for these shapes that differs from the default, or use these shapes to change the page default.

This article explains how to change the units of measurement on an individual shape or set the default for all shapes on the page.
