August 11, 2015, update for SharePoint Foundation 2010 (KB3055049)

This article describes update KB3055049 for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 that was released on August 11, 2015. This update has a prerequisite.

Improvements and fixes

Fixes the following issues:
  • When you set the value of the PreserveID attribute to True for some SharePoint Server 2010 items, duplicate document ID may be generated. In this case, when you try to open an item, you may be redirected to a search page that contains multiple items instead of browsing to the item directly, or an incorrect document is opened.
    BUG #: 901495 (Office14)
  • It takes a longer time than expected to access a SharePoint Server 2010 document library that contains many items. This issue occurs when the items have uniquely-defined permissions, and you have permissions to access some but not all items in the document library.
    BUG #: 902175 (Office14)
