November 10, 2015, update for SharePoint Foundation 2013 (KB3101498)

Applies to: Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013 Service Pack 1

This article describes update KB3101498 for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013, which was released on November 10, 2015. This update has a prerequisite.

Improvements and fixes

  • Adds the following sites to the list of trusted sites for Office so that you won't receive security warning for them:
  • Fixes the following issues:
    • When you click a SharePoint URL, you’re redirected to another URL instead of the one that is set in the redirect_uri parameter. This issue occurs because the redirect URL isn't validated.
    • When you add a user to a SharePoint group, the invitation email message can't be sent if you don't have the "Manage Permissions" permission.
    • Assume that you use the IfHasRights function to customize a Data Form Web Part (DFWP). When you save the form and then go to the form in the web browser, you receive the following error message:
Unable to display this Web Part. To troubleshoot the problem, open this Web page in a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible HTML editor such as Microsoft SharePoint Designer. If the problem persists, contact your Web server administrator.
    • After you check in a document, the link of the document points to the old site if the content database is moved to a new web application.
    • After you apply view filters to a multivalued lookup column and a single-value lookup column, you may receive the following error message:
      Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131904<br/><br/>Correlation ID:ID<br/>
    • When you select the ellipsis menu of an item in SharePoint Server 2013, an error message may be displayed intermittently.
    • When you use the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer, the Open with Explorer button is disabled in a library in SharePoint Server 2013.
    • After you go to many different sub sites, you have to authenticate again to go to the sites. This issue occurs because Internet Explorer enforces a limit of 50 cookies each domain.
    • When you change a recurring event in SharePoint Server 2013, an event 5214 is logged in the application event log on the server.
    • Third-party screen reading software can't read some content of SharePoint pages correctly.
    • When you set the time zone to Caracas or Spanish for SharePoint Server 2013, you can't add a new task, or a timeline isn't displayed correctly.
    • If the MUI language of a Project client and a Project Server are different, the timeline of a project is empty. It's not synchronized after the first publish of the project.
    • After an anonymous user adds a new comment to a post, you can't view comments for the post, and you receive the following error message:
TypeError: Unable to get property 'trim' of undefined or null reference.
