Paint 3D isn’t just for three-dimensional work. It’s got great tools for two-dimensional editing, too.

If you prefer to work in 2D, prepare your canvas by selecting Menu > Settings > Show perspective, and turn perspective off.

Use Paint 3D to make simple crops, add text to your pictures, or paint directly onto your favorite images.

Tip: To create art with a see-through background, open the Canvas menu and turn on Transparent canvas. You can use the arrow select tool to grab, crop, and move anything you make on the transparent canvas and layer your work!

When you're happy with your project, save it as a 2D file by going to Menu > Save as > Export and choosing the 2D file type you’d like from the Save as type list.
