Summary
Assume that user A and user B are in a Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 (Microsoft Lync 2013) conference in a VDIv2 environment, and the active speaker of the conference changes between user A and user B. In this scenario, after you install this update, the following improvements are available:

When the active speaker changes from user A (video) to user B (video), the video of user A is displayed.

When the active speaker changes from user A (video) to user B (non-video, audio-only), the photo of user B is displayed.

When the active speaker changes from user A (non-video, audio-only) to user B (video), the photo of user B is displayed first, and then the video of user B is displayed.
How to apply this update
To apply this update, install the October 10, 2017, security update for Skype for Business 2015 (Lync 2013) (KB4011179).
Note Lync 2013 was upgraded to Skype for Business in April 2015.
