FIX: Recovery of database takes a long time when it contains memory-optimized tables in SQL Server 2016 and 2017

Symptoms


When you recover a database that contains memory-optimized tables in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2017, and the tables have clustered columnstore indexes, the recovery takes a long time with a wait type of WAIT_XTP_RECOVERY.

Resolution


This problem is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

       Cumulative Update 4 for SQL Server 2017

       Cumulative Update 7 for SQL Server 2016 SP1
