Service Update 84 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0


INTRODUCTION


Service Update 84 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.1.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 84.

Please note that our naming conventions have changed to clarify the link between the version number and service update.  For example, Service Update 84 will correspond to version number 84XX. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all the associated fixes will be rolled into the next Service Update, thus Service Update numbers will not always increase incrementally.

As this release is deployed globally, we will continue to add fixes and the version number may change.  Check this article regularly as we continue to document fixes added to this release.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Knowledge Management

  • Some record values were missing for some records on the timeline.*

Outlook

  • After selecting a tracked email, pinning the Outlook app and then selecting other emails that were not tracked, those other emails appeared as being tracked. When they were not.*

Platform Services

  • An error occurred when synchronizing changes to the Account form (Error: "Principal team … is missing …").
  • Email sent to a particular address took almost 30 minutes to synchronize.*
  • Flow approvals were timing out.*
  • Outgoing emails were stuck in a pending send status.
  • Searches for customer assets could not be performed when a non-English language was selected.*
  • SQL server timeout errors occurred when loading activities or leads, or searching in job carts.*
  • When a mailbox was configured with a Gmail address, and "recent mode" was enabled, sending an email produced a duplicate email.

Unified Interface

  • A legacy ribbon overlaid part of the audit history grid for a record that was still using legacy Dynamics 365 forms.*
  • Quick create menu metadata was not guaranteed to be initialized in openForm ClientAPI.*
  • When creating a quick campaign, the Owner Lookup field displayed an error ("0x8006088a Resource not found for the segment 'owners'").

Folders

  • Importing a solution failed when it contained a canvas app.*

Platform Services

  • Field service solution installations failed with an error ("Solution installation failed. Please try again later. If the problem persist, please contact customer support.").
  • Field service solution installations failed with an error ("Solution installation failed. Please try again later. If the problem persist, please contact customer support.").

Unified Interface

  • An error occurred when sending SMS from the Candidate entity ("The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it.").
  • Attempting to display PDF content in a form containing an IFRAME resulted in an "invalid URL" error.
