This improvement fixes incorrect memory page accounting that uses an incorrect memory node. This causes out-of-memory errors and performance regression in benchmarks in Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and 2019.

If this issue occurs, you may notice the following:
  • One of Memory Node Database Node Memory (KB) counter exceeds its Memory Node Target Node Memory counter. 
  • One of Memory Node Database Node Memory (KB) counter becomes below 2% of its Memory Node Target Node Memory counter.
  • The number of Buffer Manager Free list stalls/sec counter spikes.
