FIX: Error due to explicit transaction isolation level hint when accessing Memory-Optimized Tempdb catalog views in SQL Server 2019

Symptoms


Assume you have the Tempdb Memory-Optimized Metadata feature enabled inSQL Server 2019. When Tempdb catalog views are accessed after specifying an explicittransaction isolation level, you may receive an error message that resembles the following: 
SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL SNAPSHOT;
SELECT * FROM tempdb.sys.tables;
Msg 41332, Level 16, State 0,Line LineNumber Memory optimized tables and natively compiledmodules cannot be accessed or created when the session TRANSACTION ISOLATIONLEVEL is set to SNAPSHOT.

Status


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
